Bathroom Fixture Care & Maintenance Guide

A little routine care keeps your bathroom fixtures looking new for years. Here's how to clean and protect each type — with a quick do's-and-don'ts list at the end.

Shower doors & glass

• Keep a squeegee in the shower and wipe the glass down after each use — it's the single best way to prevent water spots and soap scum.
• Our glass has an easy-clean, anti-limescale coating; a weekly wipe with a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner is all it needs.
• Avoid abrasive pads, scouring powders and harsh chemicals, which can scratch glass and wear down the coating over time.
• Wipe the rollers and rails occasionally and keep the track clear so the door keeps gliding smoothly.

Metal finishes (faucets, handles, towel bars)

• Wipe finishes dry after use to prevent hard-water spotting, especially on polished chrome and matte black.
• Clean with a soft, damp cloth and a little mild soap, then buff dry with a clean cloth.
• Never use ammonia, bleach, or acidic or abrasive cleaners — they can permanently dull or pit a finish.

Faucets & aerators

• If water flow weakens, unscrew the aerator at the spout tip, rinse out any mineral grit, and soak it in white vinegar to dissolve hard-water buildup.
• Wipe the spout and handles dry to keep them spot-free.

Sinks & ceramics

• Clean glazed ceramic with a non-abrasive cleaner and a soft cloth or sponge.
• Rinse thoroughly after using any stronger product, and avoid dropping heavy objects that could chip the surface.

Mirrors & LED mirrors

• Spray glass cleaner onto the cloth — not directly on the mirror — so moisture can't seep to the edges or, on LED models, the electronics.
• Use a soft, lint-free cloth and keep any electrical connections dry.

Quick do's & don'ts

• Do: dry surfaces after use, use mild cleaners, and wipe with soft cloths.
• Don't: use abrasive pads, ammonia or bleach on finishes, or harsh scrubbing on glass.
